Wheat flour(about 200 gms)
Rice flour(2 tbsp)
Maida(2-3 tbsp)
Green chillie (3-4)
Red chillie powder(1tsp)
Ginger - small piece
Garlic (2-3 cloves)
Coconut (small cup)
Curry leaves(5-6)
Coriander leaves(little)
1 boiled potato
1 small onion
Methi leaves (1/2 or 1 small bunch)
Salt to taste,water
Vegetable Oil
Mehtod:
Grind Green chillies,red chillie powder, ginger, garlic , onion, coconut and salt in the mixer. Wash the methi leaves and chop it into small pieces. Mix the paste, methi leaves and the crushed boiled potato with wheat flour, rice flour and maida . Knead the dough as soft as required for making chapati. Add water only if required. Divide the dough into parts. Roll each piece of dough by pushing the rolling pin from the center of the dough out to the edges like chapatis.
Grease the tave with some oil. Put the paratha on the tava and bake it.
Turn the paratha to the other side and grease it with some more oil as well.
Now its ready to serve. Makes 6-7 parathas.
Serve hot with ghee or butter. Tastes well with coconut chutney or carrot chutney.
